Sources, Testing and Updates
A useful guide should tell you where a claim comes from, which version it concerns and what remains unverified.
On this page
Which sources we use
For package availability, we check the project’s release assets. For behavior and configuration, we read its documentation, implementation notes and maintainer replies. User reports help establish symptoms and missing instructions; they do not automatically establish a confirmed cause or fix.
Each technical guide links its sources near the relevant claim and in a source list. A link to a specific issue, release or pinned revision is more useful than a reference to “people online.”
Versions matter
The current guide set was reviewed on October 15, 2026 against release 2.3.0 and identified source material. Package contents and repository main can differ. When a newer source change has not been established in a package, it must not be described as a shipped download feature.
Known examples include the transition from historical texture workarounds to the 2.3.0 fix and the newer RADV correction. The review date is a record of checking, not a promise that no later change exists.
What testing labels mean
| Label | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Documented | Described by the project for the stated version or revision |
| Reported | A user or maintainer describes a result under identified conditions |
| Upstream validation | Testing described by the project or linked contributor |
| Tested by this website | Requires an actual test performed here, with its method and results |
We have not performed gameplay benchmarks for this initial site. There are no invented frame rates, download counts, star ratings, reviews or “works on every PC” guarantees.
How corrections are handled
A useful correction includes the affected URL, claim, version and supporting source. Submit it through Contact and corrections. Substantive updates should change the actual answer and its evidence, rather than just advancing a date.
If a source becomes unavailable, its absence should be recorded during the next review. Unsupported advice should be removed, limited to its historical context or replaced with a verifiable source.
Commercial relationships
There are no active affiliate links or ad scripts in this initial site. If that changes, commercial placements should be identified. They must not disguise an advertisement as a project download button or determine which troubleshooting result is described as confirmed.
